Alfredo Barranco - Harmonica

 

    Alfredo Heralds from Venezuela and is considered one of the top 10 harmonica players in the world.  “Street Blues”, penned by Alfredo, became # 4 on the South American charts and put him #1 in their hearts. 

   After success in his native country, Alfredo brought his smoking riffs to America and was nominated for the 1999 Hardy Music Award in Memphis, TN. With each riveting performance, Alfredo proves why he is so honored.  

    His American tour began with The Sonny Boy Williamson Tribute during which he performed with such greats as Sugar Blue, Lee Oscar, Rockin’ Jake, Jumpin’ Johnny Samson, Blind Mississippi Morris and Arthur Williams.  He went on to rock Florida’s House of Blues with Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones and then dominated the stage of the famous Tobacco Road, and toured Florida with The Joey Gillmore Band.

A true Venezuelan gem.
